🎉Welcome to our FIRST issue!
Periods are magic. Like an epic tale of creation…*imagine in witch voice* once upon the blood moon, when our elder mothers came together around the fire of humanity, it was decided that the one who walks the earth with what is the most sacred of all the organs, THE UTERUS, shall bleed for 5 days and nights til the body is cleansed of the seed which was never to be realized…
You get the picture. 😜
It’s kinda bizarre that your cooch and brain communicate all month long till “it’s time.” You have no control over when, if, and how…it just does it automatically. But how you treat your body throughout the month is really important for what kind of gifts Aunt Flo brings on their visit.
We're Gaby and Lilli. Your two guides up to your monthly blood pilgrimage. We’re like you. Two periodstresses trying to wade our way through all the products, info, and tips to find what really works.
We’ll be bringing you art, product reco’s, funny gifs, and some tips we’re discovering along the way.
Let’s get into it! 🤘🏽
Our Period Tips
*note: not all periods or phases are equal. You might spend a longer or shorter number of days in each of the phases than other women, girls, trans and non binary people you know that menstruate.*
🩸Menstrual (Day 1 - 5)→ Energy level? Depends…
⚡️Follicular (Day 1 - 13) → High Energy Levels
✮ Hang out with some friends!
🥚Ovulation (Day 14)→ High Energy Levels + Stable Mood
✮ Take a 10 minute walk (at least) everyday this month. (This is great for those trying to get pregnant, but also good for the rest of us ovulating cats and kittens.)
💤Luteal (Day 15 - 28) → Energy Level dropping
✮ Take a NAP dammit! It’s good for you!

A way to think differently about menstrual: Proudly say, “Yes, I am hormonal.” It appears that the changes in hormones actually benefit menstruators’ ability to work both sides of their brain, left and right. As explained on this article by the BBC, “– a woman’s tendency to use both sides becomes more extreme when estrogen and progesterone levels increase each month. One possible advantage is that these shifts allow for more flexibility in thinking.”
A period tip: If you have a headache during your period take magnesium supplements or have some dark chocolate! Not all the times, but sometimes when you experience a headache during your period is due to a lack of magnesium. Sometimes what we crave is because our body needs it!
